The Aggie Polo Club is a registered student organization at UC Davis. Our goal is to teach students about horsemanship and polo and have a great time doing it! The club is managed by UC Davis students and coached by an alumnus of the original UC Davis Polo Program, Bonnie Magill.
I came across polo during a Pony Club clinic in the spring of my sophomore year of high school after jumping and doing dressage for 7 years. I played at Poway Polo Club in my last 2 years of high school before restarting the polo club at UC Davis in 2021. When I’m not playing polo you can find me enjoying food with friends, shooting photos, or creating art. I have a strong passion for medicine and intend to go to medical school once I graduate. My favorite thing about being a part of this club is my teammates and the club members. My favorite foods are Korean BBQ and carne asada.

I’ve grown up in the world of polo with both my parents being players themselves. When I’m not in the arena/field you can find me listening to music, doing outdoor activities with friends and enjoying the California sunset behind the Berryessa hills.

Pre-game hype song: Pirates of Carribean Theme Song
Learning from my dad, I have been playing polo my whole life in the very hot Coachella Valley at the Empire/Eldorado Polo Club. I grew up taking care of my horses and competing across the nation. Although I fancy myself an athletic weapon, I also love edm, running around with my dog Myra and reading. Ethel Cain is my favorite artist, "Preachers Daughter" till I die. I'm passionate about activism and social justice while being the perfect amount of annoying about it.
Position: Treasurer/Media Manager
Year: 1st
Major: Political Science
Pre-game hype song: Spit by Kittie
I first tried polo when I started at UC Davis in Fall 2022 and I saw a UCD Polo flyer and was missing my own horse back home. I took my first lesson and had a ton of fun with it and all the people were so awesome. I joined the club in Winter 2023 on top of Dressage club and working at the UCD Animal Science Horse Barn on campus. My favorite food is free food as well as the elusive Sunnyside flavor of ice cream: Sea Salt Caramel Espresso.
Position: Barn Manager
Year: 2nd year
Major: Animal Science
Pre-game hype song: Glitter and Gold by Barns Courtney
The club offers weekly lessons to students interested in polo. On weekdays, we practice at the Sutter Buttes Polo Club in Yuba City, 45 minutes from campus. It's a great alternative to the Equestrian Center's Prices and so much fun! There is absolutely no riding or horse experience necessary. Horses and equipment are provided, bringing boots is suggested, and any other personal equipment is welcome.
